The purpose of the MTA-ELTE Volcanic Research Group is to conduct high-level scientific research in the Carpathian-Pannonian region, to contribute to a better understanding of volcanic activity from magma formation to volcanic eruption and to communicate the impact of volcanic eruptions on society.
Although the epidemic limited us as well, the work did not stop for a minute. The determined members of our team work on articles with steam power, and we have also actively participated in conferences that are confined to virtual space.
The latest study of the MTA-ELTE Volcanology Research Group was published in the leading journal of the field, the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research.
The jubilee, 10th Assembly of Petrology and Geochemistry was successfully organized by the research group in Mátraháza on 05.07.2019.
